Planning the trip
The aurora season runs from late August to early April, and the lights are visible on roughly every second clear night. Cloud cover is the deciding factor, not solar activity, so we recommend a minimum of three nights and ideally four or five.
February and March pair strong aurora activity with deep snow and more daylight for activities. December brings the Christmas atmosphere and the longest nights, and books out first.

Arrive, unpack, and heat your own sauna. Book a private Aurora Igloo Dinner, check the current evening times in Bókun, and stay out afterwards while the sky darkens. Then walk back to your own hot tub and wait.
